What auction items work at a food bank fundraiser?
For Food Banks & Hunger Relief events, online auction experiences that fit your room and your mission.
Every dollar raised at a food bank fundraiser gets measured in meals. Your donors know the cost-per-meal math. A big auction item can feel off-brand unless it is clearly framed as fuel for your mission.
Food bank fundraisers bring corporate sponsors and everyday donors to the same room. Auction items need to appeal to both groups without looking extravagant. Regional golf and entertainment experiences fit this room. They are close to home, broadly appealing, and easy to talk about as a big harvest of meals.
You do not pay upfront for these experiences. You only pay for an experience if it sells, keep 100% over the cost, and can sell experiences multiple times if the bidding gets hot. A starting bid of 15 to 20 percent above cost means profit from the very first bid. A modest catalog with one strong headline item works better than a wall of baskets.
Giveback XP helps you choose the right number of regional experiences for your audience. You can browse over 140 experiences, reserve at no cost, and get a 1-page PDF display with details and photos. Items can be added last minute, even the day of your event.
Winners travel on their own schedule, with up to two years to book. Your auction closes, the mission is clear, and every dollar above the reserve is meals.
